Product Reviews for GHS Boomers Guitar Strings (TNT) Sound: GHS are THE best electric guitar strings - brightness, clarity and longevity. I've tried 'em all! TNT's are not for the faint-hearted. These strings give you a HUGE sound in the bottom register that shines when in overdrive to complete 'train-wreck' modes. Try playing some 5th fret (or lower) notes on the E (& A) strings while muting the strings with your right palm in overdrive! Used them for ages on a Les Paul through a Marshall then a Boogie. Probably wouldn't use 'em on a Strat - too long neck gauge, too tough. Great for hard rock and metal. Make sure your guitar neck is well built and be a little patient with your fingers on these. The result's worth it!
