I have a "On-Stage" Z keyboard stand and I found I couldn't add on additional items which is ok if that's what you need. But if you plan on expanding...Also, the 2nd tier is adjustable (length, width, and angle). The actual width of the base Z716 is fixed. Quality: Built well. I put my Motif 6 on the base unit and the stand is pretty stable when playing. I loaded a Virus Indigo on the 2nd tier and it holds well. Overall: In all, I must say I really like this stand. It's more versatile than my "On-Stage" Z stand in terms of accessories. The only down side I can find when comparing the two is it isn't as portable as the "On-Stage" (the On-Stage being able to fold up for easy transport) and you can't adjust the the width of the base unit. Also I find the On-Stage stand just a tad bit more stable. But I'm really nitpicking here.
